SoBe Men’s Show Features New Looks

 

New swimwear, underwear and activewear collections from four different designers will be modeled by new talent at the 2011 South Beach Men’s Show in Miami Beach, an annual event aimed at building a stylish wardrobe for the discerning modern man.

Bsixtee6 is premiering its inaugural activewear collection Chirp, designed specifically for the SoBe Men’s Show. Bsixtee6, known for its intricate hand-sewn garments, will show activewear comprised of cotton, chambray, leather and vinyl elements.

Colombian brand Mundo Unico will preview its newest Identidad collection, set to hit stores September 2011. "Identidad, Spanish for ’identity,’ is the concept of who you are and what defines you," stated Olga Lucia Oggioni, general manager of Unico Interior. "This collection is inspired by the roots and origins of culture and ancient civilizations of the American continent." Mundo Unico’s styles appeal to modern men who seek comfort, sophistication and unique fashions.

Swedish brand Frank Dandy will premiere its 2012 spring/summer underwear and swimwear collection. The garments, inspired by worldwide urban culture, feature comfortable microfiber waistbands and a wide variety of colors and patterns in boxers, trunks and swimwear styles.

Brazilian brand boyRio will debut its 2012 swimwear collection of low-cut styles in bold hues as well as retro-style sunga swimsuits that allow the wearer to "scrunch" the sides, allowing for more or less exposure. David Laing of boyRio stated that the collection "represents the passion of Rio, its hedonistic nature, the beach, gorgeous people inside and out, and a passion for the good life."

The show is scheduled for 9 p.m. on July 15, 2011 at Gemma Lounge, located at 529 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Fla. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased at SoBeMensShow.com.
