For most of us, if we waited until we had enough money, nothing would ever get done. I decided that i would do some kind of charitable work at least once a year. I began in 1997 by having house parties. In order to gain admission, you had to bring a canned good, children's book or an article of lightly worn clothing, i would then donate it to the appropriate organization.
This years beneficiary will be the Carver Center in Port Chester, NY.
The Carver Center provides afterschool programs and meals for underpriviledged kids. The fashion show will be a part of Port Chester's Unity Day and the first fashion show in the events history.
We did a small casting today with another one to follow soon. The show will take place on Friday, August 12th from 7-9 pm. The majority of the models will be local kids from the immediate area with a few of my own thrown in for good measure.
I'll post additional information as i get it. Hope to see you all there.
